Abstract
Epostemic analysis, as I conceive of it, is concerned with the analysis of knowledge. The precincts of my concern have, however, been determined by the vagaries and divagations of the words ‘knowledge’ and ‘know’ in English, or, more specifically, in Standard North Eastern American English, or, if you will, in my own idiolect. (There are, of course, aspects of my idiolect that make me somewhat suspect as a claimant to the title of a standard speaker of Standard North Eastern American English. But I am aware of these aberrations, capable of recognizing their peculiar manifestations, and, when need be, of avoiding them.)
