Abstract

The present paper presents some observations of lichens and mosses, their micro-climatic environment and relation to permanent ice fields in a selected area of Kongsöya, the largest of 3 main islands of Kong Karls Land in eastern Svalbard (Fig. 1), during the Swedish Arctic Expedition in 1980 (Ymer-80).
