Part of the book series: Priority Issues in Mental Health ((PIMH,volume 4))

Abstract

The theme of this morning’s session is Mental Health and Social Development. Being a nurse, I am concerned about effective action. If we are going to talk about Social Development and Mental Health then we must know what we can do, not only in terms of outcome, but more specifically in terms of process, i.e., how do we arrive at the outcome we hope to achieve? I am interested not only in the concrete outcome, but also in the immaterial outcome. In this presentation, I intend to accompany you through a reflective exercise in an attempt to clarify our thinking.
