Abstract

At the International Legal Aid Association’s meeting in Mexico City in 1964, the opportunity was taken of considering the legal aid and advice facilities existing in the Central and South American countries. As the next meeting is to be held in Europe, it would seem to be a convenient moment to consider whether the European countries who were the pioneers in providing legal assistance to indigent people are still keeping ahead of or up with the remainder of the world in this field.
