Abstract

The realization of the International Finance Corporation, contrary to the expectation of the chief donor members of the United Nations, has not in fact quenched the desire of the underdeveloped countries for the establishment of the Special United Nations Fund for Economic Development (SUNFED). During the years following the creation of the Corporation, the same arguments about SUNFED, which were mentioned earlier, were repeated in the forum of the United Nations by the same groups of countries which were even more convinced than before of the correctness of their thesis and did not wish to make any concession from their standpoints.
