Abstract
Having seen in the previous chapter how the IFC came to be established after several years of discussion and negotiation in the United Nations we can now give an account of the structure and operation of the Corporation. But before embarking on this study, it is desirable to fill in the background to the work of the Corporation by outlining the basic problems which confronted it.
