Abstract
I have given several summaries in my life, but for the present one I feel in as bad a position as Mrs. Burbidge, because this is also my first talk on the Magellanic Clouds, and because I am far from being an expert. I have made no observations, and have not even attempted to do anything about the dynamical theory of the Clouds. But the worst thing is that I have not really thought enough about the subject to give a meaningful summary.
