Abstract

On the subject of Atlantic Partnership it is much too easy to use big words and say very little. Leaving aside the broad theme, I want to consider the one initial, concrete step which has been taken in the United States and which could be the first step toward giving reality to this concept: the recent trade legislation.

This is the revised text of a lecture delivered to the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik in Bonn, November 14, 1962.
