Abstract
Analysis of costs and prices is fundamental to the examination of any economic activity. Nuclear power, if developed on a large scale, is bound to electricity tariffs, and hence on electricity use. This chapter attempts to give a broad indication of the consequences that might be expected to follow from a system of electricity supply based predominantly on nuclear power, in terms of the commercial implications for electricity tariffs, and the effects of these on the actual uses to which electricity is put.
