Résumé

Les dispositions législatives sur l’arbitrage au Pérou se trouvent de manière générale dans le Gode de Procédure Civile. D’autres règles sont contenues dans: (a) la Loi 8990, sur la création de la Chambre du Coton du Pérou (Câmara Algodonera del Peru) et ses statuts, approuvés par Décret du 19 octobre 1939 et modifiés par Décret du 7 mars 1947, qui se rapportent tout particulièrement à l’arbitrage dans le domaine du commerce du coton; (b) le Décret du 12 janvier 1940 créant un tribunal arbitral permanent pour la solution des conflits ouvriers (Tribunal Arbitral Permanento de Asuntos Colectivos).

Abstract

In Peru the rules of law concerning arbitration can generally be found in the Code of Civil Procedure. Other rules are found in: (a) Law 8990, instituting the Cotton Chamber of Peru (Cámara Algodonera del Peru) and its by-laws, approved by Decree of October 19, 1939 and amended by Decree of March 7, 1947, which devotes itself especially to arbitration in the field of cotton trade; (b) Decree of January 12, 1940, which created a permanent arbitral tribunal for the solution of labour conflicts (Tribunal Arbitral Permanento de Asuntos Colectivos).
