Abstract
The extreme expression of transcendental determinism is the idea of fatalism. As it seems to me, it was represented in one of the most hopeless and dispairing forms by the Greek idea of a blind fate: Moira. Moira was a kind of aconscious spiritually blind Cosmic It which determined the destiny not only of men but also of more powerful Gods. According to this Greek idea, the destiny of every human and divine “He” depends upon a blind cosmic force which is beyond and above every consciousness, every Self and their categories, ideals, values and logic. Moira is rather non-favorable than favorable to the achievement of conscious Selves striving in its blind envy to destroy these conscious Selves just on the summit of their achievements.
