Abstract
The foremost chronicler of the beginnings of the Tudor dynasty, namely, the houses of Lancaster and York, was Edward Hall, born about 1498, the son of a distinguished Shropshire couple, John and Catherine Hall. He received his early training at Eton, and went on to King’s College, Cambridge, where in 1518 he took a Bachelor of Arts degree.
