Abstract
We present a novel solution for high-density rewritable optical storage of data in thin azobenzene containing polyester film. Experimental verification of reflected transmission polarisation holography for storing digital information is presented. Improved holographic system capable of achieving data density of 1 bit/μm2 is under development. Hologram size of 0.06 mm2 is achieved with a custom designed Fourier-objective.
