Abstract
As the time drew near for the elections, journalistic propaganda became more polarized than ever. The Left could speak of little else but the “responsibility” of the voters to stand firmly against the threatened coup, while ministerial spokesmen hurled abuse at the “221” and denied their eligibility for reelection.
