Abstract

A study on the legal status of Formosa would be incomplete without examining the views and claims of the Formosan Nationalists. The Formosans, also referred to as the Taiwanese, have sought complete separation from both Chinas. It is their contention that they owe allegiance neither to the Nationalist Government nor to the Peiping regime of Mao Tse-tung.
