Abstract

In the course of this treatise we have already dealt extensively with copyright and the several legal rights for the author originating therefrom. It was in the nature of this work that we practically only concerned ourselves with two exclusive rights of the author, viz.: the right of mechanical reproduction and the right of public performance, in pursuance of which anyone wishing to undertake one of these exploitations must obtain the previous consent of the author, or that of the person to whom the author has assigned the exclusive right in question.
