Abstract
The Treaty which created the European Economic Community (EEC) was signed in Rome on March 25, 1957. The economic objective consists in establishing a Common Market comprising Italy, France, West-Germany and the Benelux Countries — The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, eliminating trade restrictions between the six partners.
