Abstract
In the previous chapters a range of techniques to assess the essential characteristics of mineral deposits has been considered. In particular, the quantity, quality and distribution of the potentially valuable components of a deposit are fundamental elements without which a decision to exploit cannot be soundly based. However, the geological factors alone are insufficient to determine whether a mining project should be established.
