Abstract
Modern underwater simulators can be used to study many physiological and technical problems connected with arctic diving. The German underwater simulator GUS1 is described together with the gas analysis system. A special analytical technique — transcutaneous analysis — for measuring partial oxygen pressure in the blood of divers is considered.
