Abstract
The general conclusions which emerge from this study are of two kinds. Some are the direct result and the main import of the ordered presentation of the evidence. Such will be the general conclusion concerning the doctrinal analysis of the Platonic theories studied. In this case we need only summarize the conclusions already reached. Others, however, depend upon points which have been treated in different sections and as subordinate to other primary topics and yet which converge to indicate a separate conclusion. Such will be many of the points which have to do with methodology and with Saint Thomas’ polemical strategy. These conclusions may be regarded as by-products of the main line of the study, yet, despite that, are nonetheless of considerable importance.
