References
In the vocabularies in this book, the English adverb forms will not be listed separately when they consist simply of the addition of-ly to the adjective. Thus ‘aardig, nice’ implies also ‘nicely’.
When the diphthong ij stands at the beginning of a word which must be capitalized, both letters are capitalized: het IJ, IJmuiden, de IJssel.
