Abstract

The frontispiece is a photographic reproduction of a piece of statuary (probably sandstone) found about 1924 by Mr. Maclaine Pont on the site of the Majapahit complex, and ever since preserved in the local museum of Måjåkěrtå. It is a woman’s head, about 8,5 cm (3,5 inches) high. It is considered one of the best examples of Majapahit sculpture. The rest of the statue is missing.
