Addenda et Corrigenda

Abstract

Professor Berg’s recent book “Het Rijk van de Vij fvoudige Buddha” (The Realm of the Fivefold Buddha), which came out at the same time as volume IV of “Java in the Fourteenth Century”, contains many quotations both from the Nâgara-Kértâgarna and from other Old Javanese texts. While writing this book Berg had no opportunity to consult the present author’s Nâgara-Kértàgama translation, notes and commentaries. I.n the following Addenda Berg’s new translations and interpretations of Nâgara-Kérttâgama passages are discussed only in cases where wide divergences between his opinion and the present author’s one are apparent.
