Abstract

Iron ore reserves are sufficiently vast to cover world needs for at least 200 years at the present rate of extraction. Developing countries possess approximately 31% of these reserves. Quantities shown in Table 34 are based on data published by the United States Bureau of Mines (1978) as well as more recent data for the United States, Brazil, Venezuela, France and Australia.
