Abstract

Solar cells are relatively small, wafer-like semiconductor devices. Also known as solar batteries, solar cells produce an electric power output while being exposed to sunlight. Many indiviual solar cells, properly electrically interconnected, constitute an array of solar cells, multiplying the output of an individual cell.
