Multiple-Loop Switching Cells Using Inductor Voltage in a Minor Feedback Loop

  • Chapter
Dynamic Analysis of Switching-Mode DC/DC Converters

Abstract

This chapter presents and analyzes the multiple-loop configuration that uses the integral of the inductor voltage as a second state variable, as applied to the elementary buck, buck-boost, and boost converters. The technique was developed by TRW in a NASA-sponsored research and development project at the beginning of the 1970s.
