Abstract
Peanuts, amongst other crops, are subject to attack by fungi of various species; some of which produce toxic substances (aflatoxins); see Schuller [3] for details. Both the Peanut Marketing Board and the manufacturers of peanut products are concerned with monitoring aflatoxin levels. There is scope for the application of quality control methods and, in particular, acceptance sampling plans to assist in this objective.
