Abstract

Focusing evaluation is the progressive specification of what and how you are going to evaluate. Like focusing a camera, focusing an evaluation demands that a number of variables be considered simultaneously. This section provides information about which variables to consider in order to focus your evaluation. Generally, these variables include: the “object” being evaluated (what your camera will be focused upon); the purpose for evaluating; the people who should be considered; the background or setting and its effect on the evaluation; and the important questions the evaluation must answer to serve its purpose.
