Zusammenfassung
In diesem Beitrag versuchen wir, Struktur und Dynamik in der Vegetation in einem Zusammenhang zu betrachten. Diese Betrachtung stützt sich auf die System- und die Informationstheorie, wie sie z.B. von ROSS ASHBY (1964) und von MARGALEF (1958, 1961) schon in die Biologie eingeführt worden sind. Der Zweite von uns hat eine Relationstheorie aufgestellt, die sich als Grundlage für Untersuchungen der Beziehungen zwischen Struktur und Dynamik, wohl auch “pattern and process” genannt, eignet. Er hat darüber im letzten Symposion schon in seinem Vortrag “Raum-Zeit-Beziehungen in der Vegetation” (siehe VAN LEEUWEN 1966) berichtet.
Der Autor war zur Zeit des Symposium, am Laboratorium für Pflanzenökologie der Universität Groningen und hat seinen Anteil an diesem Referat in diesem Institut vorbereitet.
