Abstract
A ground testing apparatus for the attitude-control system of satellites is briefly presented and discussed.
The system has three servo-controlled possibilities of motion and therefore it is able to follow the satellite in pitch, yaw and roll.
In order to properly design the high performances servo-followers in pitch and roll, it has been necessary to establish a full mathematical model of the testing apparatus.
The note presents the results both of the computation of the principal modes via digital computer, and of the simulation of the dynamic performances via analog computer.
It has to be pointed out that the results obtained by the two ways accord completely.
