Abstract
The human knee-joint is a complex kinematic system for which a coherent quantitative functional description is not available yet, despite a relatively large amount of experimental kinematic data, presented in the literature. The quantitative variety among the literature data is caused by differences in accuracies of the several methods applied, but may as well be a result of interindividual differences among knee-joint specimens.
