Abstract
There has recently been a dramatic increase in research on, and application of, regional input-output techniques. The need of many state governments and metropolitan planning agencies for workable economic models of their regions for use in measuring the economic and fiscal impacts of public and private investment decisions has been substantially increased by the growing issues of industrial shift, fiscal decline, environmental control, and energy planning.
