Abstract

A large number of naphthaquinones share vitamin K activity to different degrees, but the most active naturally occurring form is vitamin K1 (Figure 24). The natural products are all fat soluble but water soluble derivatives showing most of the activity of the natural substances have been synthesized and used therapeutically.
