Abstract
Vitamin deficiency which leads to clearly defined and recognized clinical abnormalities represents the end stage of a slide through depleted reserves and metabolic abnormality to tissues changes that become apparent. There is now little dispute about the existence and significance of such overt clinical disorders nor of the need for appropriate therapy.
