Abstract
Childhood ailments usually result in parents seeking early medical attention, but occasionally misplaced advice from friends or relatives can delay the start of treatment. Such delay may be of no consequence if the problem is only a watering eye, but can result in a permanently lazy eye if a squint is present or may even be fatal if a retinoblastoma remains untreated.
