Abstract
The problems that may arise in pregnancy are:

(1)
bacteruria or pyelonephritis;
-
(2)
complications due to previous nephritis or hypertension;
-
(3)
hypertension of pregnancy, so-called ‘pre-eclamptic toxaemia’;
-
(4)
acute renal failure.
