Abstract
The use of estrogens for contraception, treatment of peri-menopausal symptoms and induction of end-organ effects has proliferated within the past 20 years, and the benefits derived from the use of these drugs have been outstanding. Whether or not estrogenic drugs, increasing longevity with decreasing mortality from other diseases or other environmental factors are responsible for the apparent increased incidence of endometrial carcinoma which has been seen in Connecticut, the burden of responsibility for diagnosis of this disease in its earliest, most curable stages, is upon the practising physician and public health officials.
