Abstract
The purpose of the present study has been to assess, on the basis of nitrogen balance studies, minimum protein requirement in patients with morbid obesity under the condition of impaired lipid absorption due to jejunoileal bypass. An attempt has been also made to find out a possible explanation of the observed changes by estimation of some indices of protein utilization and protein metabolism.
