Abstract
Health preservation of older age-groups of the population has great social and economic implications. It relates closely on the one hand to the engagement of older people in production and social activity: on the other hand, it relates to state expenditure on public health and social welfare as well as time expenditure of family members, nurses and of those who are ill and incapacitated.
