Abstract
While purchasing a test system requires careful investigation of vendor, system, and support, the ultimate question is, of course, whether the cost of the system can be justified. Below is a checklist of the most important items which will account for the cost of ownership. Rather than elaborating on them in general terms, this section presents an unaudited case study of a typical installation.
