Abstract
Trigonometry is the study of angle measurement. This, however, does not mean the elementary angle measurement of plane geometry, in which the magnitude of the angle is read off on a protractor, but calculation with special functions that depend on angles and are called trigonometric functions because of their use in trigonometry (the study of triangle measurement and calculation).
