Abstract
It is convenient to distinguish between the depositional environments of Mineral deposits in basic and ultrabasic magmatic rocks and those in other igneous and volcanic rocks, because the rocks themselves have rather different characteristics, and perhaps a somewhat separate origin. Also these environments contain deposits of several Minerals that are unique to them, such as nickel Minerals, chromite, platinum and asbestos.
