Effects of Educational Intervention Programs on the Cognitive Development of Young Children

Nearly 50 years after the first systematic studies of the effects of educational programs on the intellectual development of young children there is still debate on whether such programs are useful. For the most part, the argument has narrowed to the preschool population, especially the toddler group, and to children known to be developmentally disabled.
