Abstract
An essential aspect of the production of sterile fluids for hospital use is the container-closure system in which such products are packaged. The container-closure system is the means whereby the fluid, once sterilized, is protected from contamination until the time when it is used. Containers must therefore comply with several requirements if they are to be suitable for sterile fluids.
