Abstract
Chemistry is a subject rarely viewed with favour either by nurses or by medical students. Most regard it as a chore, irrelevant to medicine, which must be got over before the really interesting part of studying can begin. It is undoubtedly true that the chemistry can be taught in a dull and perhaps irrelevant way. This will happen, in particular, if the teacher does not really know about the medical applications of chemistry. As a result, subjects which do matter may be largely ignored while ones which do not matter at all are gone into in great depth.
