Performance evaluation of teleoperation systems

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Robot Technology ((NSRDS,volume 3 B))

Abstract

These questions were answered for industrial robots in Volume 1 of this series entitled Modelling and Control. To the best of our knowledge, an international group chaired by Thomas Sheridan in 1975 is the only group to have considered these problems of performance evaluation; their report (Sheridan, 1975) is cited several times throughout this volume. One of the authors of this volume also took part in the study.
