Abstract

The well observed delocalized states in NH3 due to the inversion through tunneling, have never been observed in PH3. It is shown that PH3 is practically free from decoherence in the interstellar medium, contrary to other heavier molecules. The observation of the inversion splitting of PH3 in that medium is then proposed.
