Abstract

Any feasible prediction of fluidized bed heat transfer must start with the prediction of its onset, i. e. with the prediction of the minimum fluidization velocity. Furthermore, as will be shown in Chapter 7, the correlation for the prediction of bubbling fluidized heat transfer will contain minimum fluidization velocity instead of particle size, i. e. minimum fluidization velocity is regarded as a key feature.
