Abstract

The clinical and echographic distinction between a pleomorphic adenocarcinoma of the ciliary body epithelium and an uveal melanoma may be difficult. The association between adenocarcinoma of the ciliary body epithelium and ocular trauma in elderly patients has been well documented. We describe the echographic and immunohistochemical findings in a case of pleomorphic adenocarcinoma of the ciliary body in a blind eye of a 79-year-old man without signs of previous penetrating trauma.
