Abstract
The characteristics of a forest plot which are important in the context of the deposition of particles dispersed in the atmosphere will be described. These are 1) foliage density and its distribution, 2) micrometeorology, 3) the capture of airborne particles by foliage, and 4) the biological interface to be targeted. The use of foliage simulators in monitoring spray application is also addressed in this chapter.
